Furniture maintenance can be tricky sometimes. If you don’t do it properly you are liable to let all of the wood in your house go to pieces, the fabrics tear to shreds, and the mirrors crack and get muddied. Remember the old adage that “cleanliness is next to Godliness?” Well, if you aren’t practicing proper upkeep on your furniture you are going to be very far from divine status indeed.
Out of all the furniture types, from the round wooden kitchen tables to the big comfy brown leather sofas, mirrored furniture is actually the easiest to take care of. It may not look like it at first, what with all of the dangerously exposed glass and the smooth surfaces that brush up against movable pieces, but you only have to devote a few minutes a week to the upkeep of your mirrored furniture and it will last you a lot longer than the non-mirrored pieces you own.
In a few minutes each week, you can clean up and repair just about any piece of round mirrored furniture, including the giant vanity mirror furniture in your bedroom, and all you need is a bottle of Windex, a rag, some glass sealant, and money in the bank.

Here’s all you need to do to maintain your mirrored furniture; if you want more information check out the Mirrored Furniture Gallery.
Wipe Down the Glass At Least Once a Week:
Take that bottle of Windex and that old tattered rag and wipe down the surfaces of your mirrored furniture at least once a week. It only takes a few minutes to do and it will remove all of the dust and grime build up that has landed on your mirrors. Dust can cloud the reflection in a mirror and roaming fingers can leave prints and smudges.
Patch Up Any Scratches:
Not all mirrored furniture is sitting at eye level. Sometimes it will be victim to absent minded feet or the moving of stored items and it will get chipped, scratched, or cracked. If you happen to scratch up your mirror somehow you can easily repair it with some glass sealant.
Replace Broken Panels:
If the damage is beyond the use of simple sealants you can just as easily replace most mirrors on your furniture piece. Just remove the broken piece and order a new one of the exact same size from a glass cutter.
